Nicole Elikolani Prescovia Scherzinger was born on June 29, 1978, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is of Hawaiian, Filipina and Russian descent, and comes from a large family of entertainers — her mother, Rosemary, was a professional hula dancer and her grandmother was a respected Mariachi singer. Her Name Is Nicole’s 2007 release was, at the time, pushed back to 2008. In January of 2008, she was named to the No. 48 spot on AskMen.com’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women list.
In 2008, she was a part of two hit singles a cover of the track “Rio” by Duran Duran, and Timbaland’s “Scream,” which she worked on along with Keri Hilson. Then, at the beginning of 2009, Nicole Scherzinger landed on AM’s Top 99 once again, ranking at No. 65 on the 2009 Top 99 Most Desirable Women.
