Mariah Carey is a singer, songwriter, record producer and actress American. Her debut in 1990 under the direction of executive Columbia Records, Tommy Mottola. After leaving Columbia Records, Sony Music has signed a multimillion dollar contract with the Virgin, but the commercial failure of the first album released with this label, forcing executives to break the contract.
